Winning Nation in the Super Final - ITALY

We have a task - its a 57.4km Race to Goal with the goal, as usual, here in Poggio Bustone.
The weather forecast is warning of possible storms later on so a short task has been set.
The start is at 13:15 and the map is here

Its the last day and the weather looks like it might allow us one final task. The first group of pilots are on takeoff and we can see lots of wings already laid out (which is a promising sign).
The results are still close enough that another task could make a lot of difference so we are all waiting to see what will happen.
More news soon....
Meanwhile, two more videos from Philippe
The first group of shuttles have arrived at takeoff and discovered that the wind is much stronger than anticipated - the decision has, therefore, been taken to cancel the day.
Tomorrow is the last day of the competition so we are hoping for a final task....

We have just two days left - the busses are off on their first journey (we do two runs to takeoff each day due to numbers of seats) and we await details of a task.
Meanwhile, Philippe has been busy with his editing software - here are a few (!) videos to keep you busy....
A task had been set this morning and many of the competitors have taken off. Our weather man has been monitoring the possibility of thunderstorms very closely all morning and has decided that the probability of storm activity on the course is very high.
The task has, therefore, been cancelled at 14:15 - since it has been cancelled before the start there will be no results from today.
Its an epic race. We had 17 pilots in goal and the retrieve has been a busy part of the day.
Unfortunately a few pilots violated a local 'no fly' zone and this has affected the scores.
The Paragliding World Cup is pleased to announce that, for the last 4 days of the competition, we have been joined by the team from Compass and their DSX Live Pilot Tracking system.
Five pilots have been equipped with the system today and more will be added tomorrow.
You can now view the progress of the race LIVE by following the link at the top of the screen.
