The 2007 World Tour had its final event in Tucuman, Argentina from 13th to 20th October 2007.
After 3 last tasks flown in somehow weak conditions, the tour is ending with a total of 23 tasks flown all around the world, starting in Japan, then Spain, Italy, Turkey and finally Argentina.
Some records have been broken during this incredible year, like in Italy where the total distance flown by all the pilots went over 55.000km and during the whole 2007 tour, all pilots have flown a total of 158397km ! (The previous record was set 10 years ago in 1997 with 139436km)
With no big surprise, Switzerland keeps its "best nation" title.
The 2007 best team is Advance, followed by Mac Para and Axis Para.
Anja Kroll is our 2007 World Cup female champion. Her results were so high that she could stay at home for the last event and still keep her brand new title. She's even reaching the 28th position in the overall ranking.
Christian Maurer is the 2007 World Cup Champion. It is the first time in the World Cup history that a pilot is winning the title for the third consecutive time so during the prize-giving ceremony, all pilots agreed that he definitely keeps the World Cup trophy. We had to find 2 former World Cup Champions to give him his trophy: Andy Hediger who won the World Cup in 2000 and Jimmy Pacher who won in 1984 and 1987.
Now Christian has a new motivation: to win the new trophy we will have in 2008 !
A 9'30" free rushes package is available for TV channels.
Our first 2007 event has started in Ibaraki, Japan this saturday...
